Trial and billing
Sign up with a work email and you get thirty days with up to ten machines and BE AI included, no card. Billing is per machine per month, counted by the hub and invoiced by Stripe.
The trial
Verify your email and you are signed in with your first company and its install link. The trial runs for thirty days. Up to ten machines are covered; an eleventh still enrols and reports, but is marked over trial cap and BE AI does not look at it. Add a payment method at any point; nothing is charged before the trial ends.
When the trial ends
With a payment method on file, billing starts and nothing else changes. Without one, your machines keep reporting and alerts keep delivering, but BE AI, approvals, check pushes, roll-outs and new enrolments pause, and the console is read-only until a payment method is added. Nothing is deleted at the end of a trial.
How machines are counted
Once a day, in your organisation's time zone, the hub counts every machine enrolled across all your companies (devices watched through a proxy count too). The month's invoice uses the highest daily count. Forget a machine in the console and it stops counting from the next day. The daily numbers are shown under Billing so the invoice can always be checked against them.
Adding a payment method
Billing → add a payment method opens Stripe's hosted checkout. Cards never touch the hub. Address and tax id (ABN) are collected there; GST is applied for Australian customers. Manage cards and invoices opens Stripe's customer portal for card changes, invoice history and cancellation.
If a payment fails
Stripe retries the card over a couple of weeks and emails you. In the console a banner asks for an updated card. Everything keeps working for fourteen days after the failed payment; then BE AI pauses; after thirty days the account is read-only. Paying the outstanding invoice restores everything immediately.
Cancelling and deletion
Cancel from the portal; billing stops at the end of the period. Agents are told to stop connecting, and the console shows the deletion date thirty days out. Until then you can export everything as JSON from Billing or add a payment method to restore the account. After that date the organisation, its companies, machines, history and users are deleted permanently.
Self-hosted
The trial and card flow apply to the hosted hub. If you run the hub yourself, machines are counted the same way and invoiced by arrangement. [CONFIRM]
Try it on one machine first.
The install line takes a minute. Uninstall the agent and you are out.
